Carried out by: dr Andrzej Choniawko, mgr Łukasz Dembski
Financed by: Polish-German Foundation for the Advancement of Science
Project timeframe: October 15, 2014 to December 31, 2015
The primary project objective is to shed light on Krzysztof Skubiszewski’s views on law and the impact of such views on his political pursuits with respect to Polish-German relations. Krzysztof Skubiszewski, the architect of Polish-German agreement, is a rare example, in today’s world, of a statesman and a remarkable scholar. The proposed project will confront views on his scientific attainments with political practice. Its unique nature lies in reliance on new previously-unknown archive materials from Krzysztof Skubiszewski’s legacy as held by the Institute for Western Affairs.
