The setting up of Krzysztof Skubiszewski’s Study
Financed by Poznań City Authorities
Project timeframe: September 2014 to November 2014
The project involved setting up Krzysztof Skubiszewski’s Study.
The specific objectives were to:
- commemorate and honor this outstanding resident of Poznań and celebrate his life, research and political accomplishments by restoring his study and making it available to the public;
- facilitate research on Krzysztof Skubiszewski’s scholarly and political legacy and his contribution to the foreign policy of free Poland by taking stock of archive holdings and (at a later stage) making it available to domestic and international researchers;
- offer opportunities for political education (addressed mostly to young people) on international affairs and, in particular, Polish-German relations by creating a website on Krzysztof Skubiszewski and his scholarly and political attainments and by using the Study to hold educational meetings with young people.
The completed project tasks were a preliminary stocktaking of archive holdings and Krzysztof Skubiszewski’s book collection, the establishment of Krzysztof Skubiszewski’s Study, the creation of Krzysztof Skubiszewski’s Study website in Polish and English and the setting up of an information bulletin board on Krzysztof Skubiszewski.
